New Young Adult Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Release Party in Oviedo, FL, written by 14 year old Chloe Snyder.

Chloe Snyder, an Oviedo, FL local, age 14, has written her first self-published book, “Turning Time: The Original Prophecy”. The book is a combination of fantasy and science fiction genres for young adults, written by a young adult. Writing has always come naturally to Chloe, who has been writing stories since she was 8 years old. Chloe believes there is nothing better than sitting down at a keyboard and letting her creativity flow. 

“Turning Time: The Original Prophecy” follows the adventures of Avalon, an average student constantly in the shadows of her overachieving best friend, Bree. However, when Avalon discovers a time machine, she embarks on a journey forward and backwards in time. After meeting her grandmother in the past, Avalon discovers a magic inside of her that she never thought she had. Avalon and her friends must discover their inner strengths to stop an evil witch from destroying the world and fulfill The Original Prophecy.

The official Release Party will be December 20, 2024 at The Place, located in the Oviedo Mall (1710 Oviedo Mall Boulevard, Oviedo, FL 32765). The Launch Party is an 300 person invite-only event, but the media and press are welcome.

To prepare her book for publishing, Chloe connected with an award-winning Orlando-based editor, Carrie Bolin. Carrie provided developmental coaching and mentoring to help Chloe sharpen her craft while letting her voice shine through. 

Chloe is an eighth grader in middle school in Oviedo, Florida. She leverages her writing skills as an editor of her school’s yearbook and a member of the school's Creative Writing Club. Last year, Chloe won the prestigious Erika Witherspoon Award that recognizes one student each year with exemplary writing skills and potential. 

Balancing her passion for writing, Chloe loves music. Recently, she was selected for the Florida All-State band and orchestras for both clarinet and viola, an incredibly rare honor.

When not practicing music, writing her book, and studying to maintain her 4.0 GPA, Chloe swims on the local Oviedo Blue Dolfin swim team. Chloe has been swimming since she was a baby and is a natural team leader helping to motivate her fellow swimmers. She hopes to continue to swim competitively in high school. 

“Turning Time: The Original Prophecy” will be available in paperback and hardcover on Amazon starting December 20th and will be the hottest gift of the season for book lovers of all ages.
